My life has been making me a madman lately with business, personal projects & National Moth Week, still I manage to explore local Jersey. Saw a Great Blue Heron looking for a mate, Caterpillars chewing on plants, beetles mating on plants and various other insects.

IOTW: Snowberry Clearwing Moth Larva

This little Snowberry Clearwing Moth Larva was happily munching away on Honeysuckle when I found it.

Insect Of The Week: Smeared Dagger Moth / Acronicta oblinita

Its been a while since my last IOTW, but now I present Smeared Dagger Moth Larva. Found feeding on Pickerelweed at my local wetlands/park while on the hunt for a special dragonfly that is a rarity in my area. Hopefully that will be posted very soon or as soon as I can get a decent pictures of it.
