Gang Bangers In Blue

A few weeks ago, I walked outside to smoke and ran into some of the finest "Drug Warriors" I have ever met. They were busy making a bust at the neighborhood barbershop. Most likely that bust was about the evil "weed". They just haven't figured out that this drug war is a complete failure.
Being a fan of both carlosmiller.com & copblock.org, I knew my cell phone was the best protection I had if things turned bad.
They were quite nice and understood "public servant in a public space" as well as my right to photograph on a public street. Oh wait this is Amerika, so I guess you know what really happened.

Secret Police? Not so secret with the state issued badges.
Apparently taking pics of police in a public space is now secret in South River, NJ. By the way, if I let this pic get out they will know where it came from. I think these fine upstanding men were from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, so if you are upset with their actions & attitude let the big guy know. I really don't know because when I asked for them to ID, they left it to #18 PTL. Schmidt of the SRPD to take care of things. I have to admit the only one that wasn't that big of an ass was the cop in the light blue jacket, he even waved before this pic. How can one be secret when hanging around with uniformed cops & fancy bling around the neck?
Remember this is what you are forced to pay for people, a camera & accountability is what they fear!
Anyway you can listen to the audio here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZejBzAoiWQ.

  1. What what a bunch of THUGS! "I'll remember your face buddy". Amazing - totally unprofessional, threatening and kind of pathetic.

  2. I'm not a lawyer but in my opinion When they demanded your ID or you would be placed under arrest you were being detained without cause. They stated the reason you were being detained for exercising your constitutional rights. That is a federal crime. PLEASE make a complaint with the prosecutors office.

  3. You don't have more pictures to post of the thugs in blue or at least plain clothes? Post them and let us repost them over and over again.

  4. Good job Todd. Public servants in a public place. No expectation of privacy. Accountability as you state is important... fear of accountability should never be acceptable when it comes to public dollars.

    1. seems like you are anti police people. from what i heard in that video, these police officers were trying to minimize exposure to the public by effecting whatever arrest they were there to effect. by you filiming them and posting it, it places their safety at great risk if people involved in criminal actions recognize them during a sensitive undercover operation. YOU seem to have no problem with that and thats bothersome. sure, its your right to film, but it does make you an asshole for doing it.

  5. Title 18, Chapter 13, Section 242 makes it a federal crime for any public official to use their official authority under color of law to infringe upon any civil, statutory or constitutional right. A simple verbal discouragement is worth a year in federal prison if convicted. Threat of or actual use of deadly force in the commission of the crime increases the penalty to ten years. If anyone actually dies, sexual assault occurs as a result of the violation or the victim is a child, the penalty becomes life without parole or execution. Section 241 of the same title and chapter is Conspiracy to violate rights, and occurs when two or more officials cooperate to violate rights. All penalties under 241 follow the same track as 242, but they all start out one step more severe.

So if two cops try to stop you from exercising a constitutional right, and one of them rests his hand on his gun as a not-so-subtle threat, both of them have committed a crime punishable by the death penalty.

Is there citizen's arrest in New Jersey?
